La Batie-Montsaleon

TOWNS:
Gap: in the footsteps of the Tour de France
Serres: a small village with a great historical past
Sisteron: the gateway to Provence
Gap, widely known by cycling enthusiasts as one of the cities where the tour rides invariably have an arrival or departure. You will find this city just under 35 kilometers from the house. By car you drive about half an hour, but of course you can also leave by bike and make it a tour-worthy ride.
Serres, hidden behind a rock lies this enchanting village. Highly recommended to walk between the sloping alleys and look for the clock tower, the Romanesque church from the 12th century and admire the beautiful details such as the carved door of the town hall. You can get there by car in less than 10 minutes, but there is also a very nice walk to Serres from the village.
Sisteron, a city with a lot of history. Visit the citadel, the cathedral, the old town with numerous nice streets to shop for souvenirs or to enjoy one of the many terraces. From la Bâtie-Montsaléon you drive 45 minutes to the city by car.
